SUMMER SEASON IN ALANYA 2025
We are ready for the summer and hope for a good season for both the real estate and tourism sectors. It is a fact that the real estate sector is having a recession due to economic reasons. We hope for a stabilization in the sector. We are happy to inform you about our new colleague in our Panorama family. Her name is Elvira Bekdik and she is from Azerbaijani origin. She speaks Russian, Turkish, English.

A new law is coming on complex management. Complex Management companies will need to get a management certificate. Certifica will be a must. As Panorama, we attended the necessary training, Muhammet Gülten and Ayhan Gedikoğlu received these certificates on behalf of the company.
THE ALANYA MUNICIPALITY
The town hall has been moved to her brand new location in the Oba district, right next to the Metro shopping centre. The building looks impressive and modern. The Alanya municipality is working hard on various intercultural activities and improving its services. Some of the upcoming events are; The best balcony & the best garden competition

23rd international tourism and art festival from May 23rd until May 25th taking place near to the Atatürk main square. Another even is taking place at the Red Tower International Art Symposium with artists/ painters from 10 different countries. Symposium is called Palette of the Turkic World and will be held until May 14th.
International Beach Pro Tour Volleyball Tournament taking place from June 11th until June 15th at Oba Beach.
From May 7-30th an inter high school theatre festival will take place at the Alanya Cultural center.
TRAVEL TIP OF THE MONTH
Dwarf cave, in Turkish Cücemler is a beautiful cave near Sapadere village on the way to Sapadere Kanyon in the Demirtas region. The cave is located in an beautiful green and scenery environment hidden in the forest. There is an entrance fee of around 170 TL. Check it out at;

18th JAZZFESTIVAL IN ALANYA
Alanya s 18th international jazz days will be held from September 21st untill September 24th at the red tower area in the center. Entrance is free. The detailed program can be found on: www.alanya.bel.tr website of the municipality of Alanya that organizes the jazz festival. Do not miss it.
ALANYA TROPICAL FRUIT FESTIVAL
Alanya’s tropical fruit festival will take place from October 6th to 8th in the city center. There will be many stands and activities. Also there will be a competition for who can cultivate the best mango. Mango now is a new fruit grown in Alanya. Tropical fruits grown become an important income sector in Alanya. Particularly all kinds of oranges, lemons, pomegranates and of course avocados.

HOW TO TRAVEL IN TURKEY ON A BUDGET
A notable development in Turkey is that we are seeing more and more caravans and mobile homes on the road. For those who love outdoor living and nature there is so much to offer in this country. Even if you have a smaller budget, this is the ideal way to discover this beautiful country. Free camping is allowed in Turkey so that makes a mobile home road trip even more affordable.

TIP OF THE MONTH
Restaurants selling sushi and even Asian cuisine was virtually unthinkable in Alanya 10 years ago. Sushi is also starting to become more popular among the Turkish people. We are very happy with this development which is also partly created by the increase in Russian tourism. On further investigation I found more than 25 restaurants selling sushi. Of course I have my favorites, it would be nice if you let us know your sushi experience in Alanya.

Summer is in full swing. The temperatures are summery but still pleasant with warm sunny days and cool nights. The hotel occupancy in Alanya seems to be good, many hotels are fully booked. Good for the local economy and all the side businesses like restaurants and shops.
SACRIFICIAL FEAST BAYRAM
The traditional sacrificial feast will be from June 26th until June 30th 2023, please keep in mind that government offices and banks will be closed during 9 days! The locals will travel a lot and go on holiday, definitely there will be a lot of traffic on the roads. Alanya will be also busy with local tourists.
Our office will be closed during those days from June 27th at 12.00 am until June 30th 09.00 am. In case of emergency you can reach via the emergency telephone numbers.
TURKISH ECONOMY AND INFLATION
Turkey is undergoing difficult times with a high inflation. For those coming from abroad with hard currency like euros and dollars the daily expenses are still very affordable. But the local people are struggling in daily life. We have just finished the elections and are currently starting the new government. We need to wait and see what the future will bring. President Erdogan has been re-elected and will run for his last term for 5 years.

END OF THE FAST MONTH ( RAMADAN) BEGINNING OF SUGAR FEST
We are approaching the end of Ramadan which ends on Thursday April 20. Then the sugar fest starts which lasts 3 days April 21, 22 and 23. During these days, all government institutions and banks will be closed. Shops and restaurants are open. Our office will also be closed during these 3 days, but of course you can reach us at any time for emergencies. We wish everyone a beautiful sugar fest for those who celebrate this.
SERVICE DESK FROM THE ALANYA MUNICIPALITY
The Municipality of Alanya is working hard to keep the city as clean and pleasant as possible. To make that happen they have a special service desk where you can report various complaints such as environmental pollution, noise disturbance and similar complaints. This service desk in Turkish is called çözum masası literally translated table of solution. They work very efficiently and you can reach this line via whatsapp also in english. The number is: 0 552 444 82 07 and is 7/24 reachable.
ELECTIONS IN TURKEY
Turkey goes to the polls on May 14, 2023! Both for presidential and parliamentary elections. There are 2 candidates in the run the current president Mr. Erdogan and the opposition candidate Mr. Kilicdaroglu. This year the Turkish republic celebrates its 100th anniversary therefore its gonna be a very exciting day! We all hope for fair and transparent elections with a better perspective for Turkey. To maintain order that day only alcohol will not be sold in the shops and restaurants.
TRAVEL TIP OF THE MONTH
If you like mountains and hiking in combination with ancient history you will find all this just 1,5 hour drive from Alanya. The surroundings of Akseki with the beautiful old villages of Ormana and Ibradi are a small paradise. The villages are unique because of their button houses. You can even combine your trip with an overnight stay in one of those authentic houses. Another highlight in this region is the Altinbesik cave. ALANYA SHINES AT SPORTS
You might have heard of Alanya sport football team who is very succesfull and are playing at the highest league level in Turkey competing with very known teams like Fenerbahce and Galatasaray. But outside of football, Turkey is also very popular and successful in male and female volleyball at national and international level. The men’s volleyball team of the Alanya municipality has recently been promoted to the top called Efeler league at national level this is the highest level in volleyball in Turkey. If you wish you can always check out their games and watch them live at the Ataturk sports lounge close to the Kleopatra beach in Alanya. Earthquake Turkey
Dear customers,
Turkey has been literally overwhelmed by a terrible earthquake in the early morning of February 06 at 04.30 am. The earthquake was the largest measured in the past 100 years with a magnitude of 7.8 on the Richter scale. Later in the day at 11.30 am another earthquake was added. It concerns a spread area of 500 km with a population of 13 million people! As far as it known, at least 10.000 buildings have collapsed and the death toll is still unknown but will run into the thousands if not hundreds of thousands.
The epicenter was in the city of Kahranmaras (600 km from Alanya) and the cities of Antakya, Iskenderun, Gaziantep and Adiyaman were particularly hard hit.
Fortunately, Alanya and the region are not located in an earthquake fault line. That being said the shock was so strong that it has been felt by many people.
There are no casualties and we are safe. No damage to buildings has been detected in Alanya.
We are all working to help wherever possible. The Turkish government has been declared a 3 month state of emergency for the area which consists of 10 provinces.
Now emergency aid needs to be provided, there is a lack of everything, food, clothes and shelter are now a priority.
